Natural Parks in Costa del Sol

More than 60% of Andalusia is protected reserve with a number of Natural Parks.
The province of Cadiz has more than twenty Natural Parks, like Sierra de la Grazalema (Biosphere Reserve), Los Alcornoques (Europe’s largest cork oak forest), Doñana, the Strait of Gibraltar, the Barbate forest, the Bay of Cadiz.

The natural parks of Grazalema and the Sierra de las Nieves, both Biosphere Reserves, lend themselves to peaceful walks on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, or fishing, kayaking, climbing, immersed in the pristine nature rich in a varied fauna.
The area of the Strait serves as a port of call for all the birds that migrate to Africa, a privileged observatory for observing cetaceans.

The Natural Parks in Andalusia offer a very wide variety of landscapes and an extraordinary ecological wealth.
The whole province allows you to carry out many types of extreme activities and sports within the Natural Parks: in the hinterland you can devote yourself to hiking on the Grazalema Sierra, climbing, horse riding trails; on the coast surfing, kite surfing, diving and other water activities are practiced; horse rides through kilometers of beaches are also very famous.

The Natural Parks in the province of Granada offer a type of mountainous landscape, in fact the Sierra Nevada, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1986, Natural Park in 1989 and National Park in 1999, is the habitat of 60 exclusive plant species such as the “Star of the snows ?and kingdom of the wild goat, ibex of Andalusia.
